"Poland will become a German-Russian condominium," PiS leader warns

On Monday evening, the eve of Independence Day, a march under the slogan "It's Worth Being Polish" marched from the Royal Castle to Piłsudski Square, attended by politicians, activists, and Law and Justice supporters. Jarosław Kaczyński led the march, first speaking at the Presidential Palace and then speaking again at the Józef Piłsudski monument.
" The 107th anniversary of the day that was recognized as the anniversary of regaining independence , because that process obviously took longer, but you always have to find such a day, and that's what was decided in 1938. This is a day that was banned for many years during the communist era in Poland, with only a few masses held somewhere," the PiS chairman began his speech.
Kaczyński on the eve of Independence Day. "Independence is truly at risk.""I've had the opportunity to speak in this place many times, at different times, but I've always been deeply convinced that although times have been difficult, even very difficult, I speak in a free Poland, and that this free Poland will endure. Somewhere on the distant horizon, I may have seen some threats, but unfortunately, today is different ," Kaczyński explained.
The politician stated that Poland's "independence is truly under threat." He admitted that he hoped this would be the last Independence Day of its kind in the current political reality. He pointed out that "there is no democratic and independent Poland without an honest state, a democratic state ."

- There is no rule of law, or more precisely, referring to today's times, without law, because today we are dealing not with a violation of the rule of law, but with the lack of recognition of law in general in many cases, and it is the government that does it - thundered Kaczyński.
PiS leader warns against "German-Russian condominium""It's not just internal forces that are behind all this. You could even say that these internal forces, although they unfortunately have significant electoral support, are not autonomous. These are essentially external forces, both from the West, specifically from Germany , there's no point in hiding it (...) and, of course, from the East, as I don't think anyone has any doubts about Russia's role ," the PiS leader stated, criticizing the Polish government.
Kaczyński stated that if Poles agreed to this and accepted this state of affairs, our country would become a "German-Russian condominium." "How can we oppose this?" he asked the audience, only to reply shortly thereafter by pointing out that the Polish state needs " good government, good government, not the kind we have today ."
SEE: Mentzen slams Kaczyński. "He's not only a liar, but also a boor."
"We need national unity, but the unity of Polish patriots, those who say today—because this is the question and the answer that pertains to patriotism—that they will never cooperate with those who govern Poland today . That they will never accept that Poland can be led by people who are obviously dependent on external funds," Kaczyński argued.
Kaczyński calls for "securing" Poland against the potential return of the Civic Coalition government to powerThe leader of the largest opposition party stated that the forces he described as patriotic must unite "so that the new dictatorial system can be overthrown." He also indicated that safeguards should be created in the future to prevent the current government from taking power in Poland .
"(...) that lasting safeguards be created in Poland to prevent this from ever happening again, because such safeguards can be created. In Poland, in this disastrous Polish constitution, they are completely lacking . And that is what lies ahead," Kaczyński announced.
